This year, on Dwitiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Bhadrapada, especially on September 17, 2023, Vishwakarma Puja will be observed.

History

Hindu mythology regards Vishwakarma as the universe's divine architect. He built and fashioned a multitude of divine weapons, including Lord Shiva's Trishul, Lord Vishnu's Sudarshana Chakra, Lanka King Ravana's Pushpaka Vimana and Indra's Vajra, Dwarka, Lord Krishna's domain, and the Maya Sabha for the Pandavas. He also constructed several palaces for each of the four yugas' gods.

​​Significance​

Hindus place a great deal of importance on Vishwakarma Puja, particularly those who work in the laboring class. Workers worship to Lord Vishwakarma on this auspicious day, requesting his blessings for success in their different professions. Machinery workers take a day off to commemorate Lord Vishwakarma, completing puja rites at their places of employment, and enjoying a joyful celebration.
